9 1/2 Weeks

Actually I’m only a day and a half from being ten weeks along, but this title was catchier.  Plus maybe you decided to read this post because you thought it might be kinda sexy.

It won’t be.  The first trimester continues to kick my ass.  A shower is pretty much all I can accomplish in a day, and that’s not even happening every day.

My head is exploding with thoughts and feelings to share with all of you, but every time I reach for my laptop, waves of nausea or various aches and pains pull me back to the couch.  Or to the bathroom.

I had a few moments of coherence today, so… a quick post and a pic of our little bean (right before I was 8 weeks).

Yeah.  It’s all totally worth it.

I haven’t been checking any blogs for a while and now I could kick myself. I am SUPER happy for you. Well, not for your symptoms kicking your ass, but you’re PREGGERS! Finally! Congrats and so much more that I don’t have words for. I will definitely be checking your blog more regularly now. Wow! I’m doing a happy dance for you. And clapping my hands. And grinning from ear to ear.

Such a beautiful baby you have growing in there. I read your tweet about Twilight and had to come see what had you so “up in arms”. When I saw you were pregnant, I understood. Hope that makes sense. I “attacked” (that’s kind of a strong word) my husband with a broom when he tried to talk to me while I was cleaning the bathroom during my first trimester. He didn’t bother me again during cleaning time, or, really very often at all during the first trimester of my pregnancy with our first child. It does kick your ass, but it’s wothi it. =D

  4. It’s totally worth it. I love it that you call the baby your little bean. That’s what we called ours in the womb as well. Better nicknames (like Stinky Fishface) will develop after the little bean comes out. Good luck!
