That sounds like complete crap! I mean, the only way I'd be able to work a shift like that was if I didn't go to sleep. As in, I woke up at 9:00 pm, then had my entire day (night) and then went to work and then came home and went to sleep. Them's vampire hours. Then again, I'm not a morning person. I'm duly impressed!

I had a year off for maternity leave and going back to work was BRUTAL. It's been 4 years and I still can't stand the 6am shifts.
My secret? I come home at 3pm, nap for an hour and then go pick up the Kid from daycare. That nap really helps.

I feel your pain. I was a stay at home wife(mom) for a while as well. The house was spotless, I had ample time for everything, including my now-ex and my son. I loved it. I would give just about anything in order to be able to do that again. I hope that you can get adjusted soon without too much pain.

Going back to work is HARD. I totally miss my afternoon nap with my kids. Giving that up was awful. Hang in there as a normal is just around the corner.

6am does sound painful … but you will probably LOVE getting off work so early in the afternoon, especially now that the sun is back! Why does it always magically appear on a Monday, after being absent all weekend? *sigh*
